Cobble Tales

About

Millions visit Edinburgh enticed by the very image of its landscape and architecture. Yet very few leave with an understanding of how it was shaped. Intriguing stories are coded into the fabric of this ancient city. Cobble Tales is an initiative delivering walking tours in Edinburgh and thus sharing this otherwise hidden material. The builders of Edinburgh left us a plethora of clues in architecture, sculpture and streetscape. To those who care to notice, the historic fabric of the city speaks its tales - Cobble Tales. The architectural tours of Edinburgh are designed to tell a story based on the buildings and their details. These subjects are used to explain the influences that shaped the development of the city, aspirations of building patrons and architects. Olga Gogoleva is a knowledgeable local with a UK Masters Degree in Architecture, fascinated with Edinburgh’s amazingly rich historic architecture.
